2021
tHE SEED
In the fall of 2021, Chip Grange, Claude Allen, Doug Duberstein and their spouses began a mission with a shared burden: to connect local churches to better meet community needs.
2022
THE DEVELOPMENT
The team discovered Love INC (Love In the Name of Christ). Its structure and heart perfectly aligned with their vision.

tHE LAUNCH
Led by the Holy Spirit, the team officially took the steps to establish the Love INC affiliate in Montgomery County, MD. As they shared the vision of providing a “hand-up” rather than just a handout, local churches responded amazingly, uniting to launch this vital ministry to transform lives across our county.
June 1 2023 – Opened the Connection Center

As we embark on becoming a Love INC affiliate, we invite churches to connect, coalesce, and address the needs of our neighbors.
We want to share the information more broadly, and coalesce churches more quickly, who desire to be part of this work of meeting the needs of our neighbors, and through addressing practical needs, bringing the Good News of Jesus Christ to our county one person, one family at a time.

Love INC Montgomery County is a faith-driven organization dedicated to transforming lives in Montgomery County. We unite churches, volunteers, and community partners to provide support to individuals and families in need. Our mission is to empower and equip those facing hardships through love, resources, and practical assistance. With a focus on dignity and respect, we strive to meet both immediate needs and long-term solutions, fostering a compassionate community that reflects Christ’s love.

Our collaborative model mobilizes churches to serve those in need in holistic, relational ways.
When care is not coordinated, needs can be overlooked or duplicated, and people are not served in a holistic manner.
Love INC fosters collaboration and organizes holistic care to help churches serve their neighbors through resources and relationships.
THE LOVE INC NATIONAL STORY
Virgil Gulker shares how Love INC started. In it he also articulates a vision of the potential impact that a multitude of churches working together can have on communities and the nation.
A man named Virgil Gulker founded Love INC. in Holland, Michigan in 1977. Today there are more than 110 Love INC affiliates in 30 states, representing a network of more than 9,000 churches.
